Synthesis and Characterization of PPY-PANI-ZnO Hybrid Nanocomposites for OLEDs Applications as Electron Transport Layer

PPY, PANI and PPY-PANI-ZnO ternary nanocomposites were synthesized in the laboratory via chemical oxidative polymerization method. The formation of corresponding change nanostructure with incorporation ZnO was examined by X-ray diffraction technique (XRD). Nano-flakes like structure formed PPY-PANI polymeric matrix embodiment nanoparticles, as surface topology images. Optical transmittance spectra showed optimized reduced band gap ~2.67eV. Increased rate electron-hole nonradiative recombination associated to blue green bands confirmed from PL spectra. An enhanced current density ~197.75% due significantly improved conductivity nanocomposites. This conductivity, high that it can be used electron transport layer OLED devices.
